Always. Hope.

Ten Practical Things you can do if actively planning or attempting suicide

  1. Talk To Someone You Trust - Right Now

    • You don’t have to go through this alone. Tell a friend, family member, counselor or faith leader.

  2. Call or text the crises line - here

  3. Get to a safe place

  4. Delay the Decision

    1. Give yourself 24-48 hours before acting on the thoughts. Promise yourself you’ll wait and seek help in this time.

  5. Read through your safety plan

    1. Find your safety plan and read it, if you don’t have one, you can make one now

  6. Ground yourself in the moment

  7. Move your body - even for 5 minutes

  8. Make a list of 10 reasons to stay

  9. Remind yourself this is temporary

  10. Call 911 if it’s an emergency.
